It’s great that you’ve set up a Facebook business page in order to connect with your current and prospective clients. You’ve recognized the importance of social media – good for you! We don’t say this in jest, either! Believe it or not, there are many out there who still refuse to recognize the power and benefits of engaging your audience by way of social media.
However, this isn’t a post meant to extol the virtues of being active online. If you’re a part of our audience, we assume you learned this lesson long ago! In fact, this blog is meant to be a quick read that answers one of our most frequently asked social media questions:
WHO IN THE HECK LIKED MY FACEBOOK PAGE!?!?!!
As a business owner, it’s important to know who you are speaking to, what your audience looks like, and where they’re coming from. But with Facebook changing their algorithm and Page features seemingly by the week, it’s tough to keep up. We’ve heard from several small business owners that it sometimes feels as if they are having to constantly relearn how Facebook works. Given that we work within this space on a daily basis, we sympathize! You would think that finding out who has liked your Page would be one of the simplest tasks, but apparently, Facebook believes in the “no pain / no gain” ethos!
If you’re one of the many who has come across this issue yourself, we’re happy to help! We feel this information is in a fairly unusual / unexpected place. It would make sense to see who liked your page in the Insights tab, right? Perhaps, that makes a little too much sense. In fact, if you’re looking to find out who liked your page, you have to navigate into the ol’ Page Settings.
Once you have entered into your Page Settings, you need to select “People and Other Pages” from the left sidebar. See below:
From this section, you will see a list of all the individual users who have liked your page. You will see them listed chronologically with your most recent fan sitting atop the list.
Finally, this drop-down also allows you to see a list of all of the individuals and Pages you have banned from interacting with your Page (if any).
And that’s all there is to it! It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
Have you been wondering who makes up your online audience? Wonder no more!
